Exactly 3 years ago, weeks after Q graduated from UTP, I made a bet that Q would forget me in 3 years' time.

The bet took place on 31 January 2007..

And today, I lost the bet.

Hmm. Won't say I'm totally new to this gadget because I had the opportunity to use it to snap many pictures. But the ones I used, weren't mine..

I also want one!! But too expensive broke at the moment =(

This coming Wednesday, dated 3 February 2010..

It probably looks like this

This will be my first time:

- Flying to East Malaysia
- Going on a chopper

- Dressing in coverall and hardhat
- Going offshore!!

I’m so hyped cause this is something very new to me. I’ll probably get sick of travelling and start complaining a few months down the road. LoL.

But, at the meantime, YAY!

Oh and the best part of it, I’m going without an offshore passport cause I got a waiver! But scary also la cause I seriously don’t know what to expect =/

On an extremely random note, here's a picture of us at KLIA, after sending Omar, my Eqyptian friend off..

Sexy Debbie, Innocent Me, Charming John and Poser Adrian

PIPE 53 - Day 15 and Day 16

After what I felt so long, PIPE has finally come to an end.

I went to the pool for the first time on the eve of our departure. Not to swim, but to play around and learn more on photography!

The owner of this DSLR gave me a short tutorial

*snap snap

We had our final dinner together - The typical 8 dish Chinese style dinner. Thank goodness for the change. I was so bored of the hotel buffet I didn't eat much towards the end..

Checking out. Was wearing John's hat. LoL

Bye, bye PIPE! Hello KLCC!

@ Inner Circle, Lot 10 after night class

Part of the group at hotel lobby

Us, at Lot 10

I had three only ;)

Yep, all the way from Bangi to KL!

The difference between Day 0 and Day 14

Day 0 (PERMATA) - Was slouchy and all but eyes looked alert and energetic.

Day 14 (EQ Hotel) - Better posture but eyes half dead ady.

Me, The Ghost in Ju-On?!

Shea Teng commented on FB I resembled a character in the latest Ju-On sequel - White Ghost and Black Ghost.

I thought it's a spam or some automated FB virus or something but I replied anyway. Turned out..

I get that a lot you know, which, the recent ones are:

Danny: You have that natural half-cynical look on your face (which made him afraid to approach me on the first two days of PIPE)

Wei Shen: (In his normal voice to a friend seated right beside me) She has a very garang look.

The funny thing is, the people closer to me in this PIPE thingy i.e. Grace and Khus (my roommate here) don't think so.

Do I really look that serious most of the time, if not all? =/

Btw, here's the picture from the said link:

I think can get nightmare ar -_-

PIPE 53 - Day 9 and Day 10

The main highlight of this induction programme - Mega Challenge.

It's basically liddis:

4 teams, 80 people

6 tents

Each can fit at most 4 people. So how did the rest of us survive the night?

Sleep on the wet grass lor. The spread out sleeping bag in the middle's mine. Since the grass was wet and the sleeping bag is non waterproof, we had to use layers of mats.

Poor Danny had to sleep on the wet grass because we ran out of mats. It was a cold night, too.

8 oil rigs with helipads to build

The process of building it in the middle of the night. I didn't help in building it. Too many cooks spoil the broth. Hehe.

Upon completion. This is one of the 8 platforms. 6 of them can sustain 20 kgs, 1 managed to support 30 kgs and the other one successfully held 40 kgs. Good job, everyone.

As for those who weren't involve in building the platforms, apart from helping with the collected samples..

Random chats.

Pardon our messy and worn out look. No thanks to the periodic drill call, even during wee hours. Can't remember how many times I was woken up and had to run to the middle of the field, groggily. Ugh.

Limited food

Loafs of bread, cans of sardines, and eggs and apples as our only food supply,

Oh. Not to forget..

Infinite insects and bugs

For some odd reasons, those bugs were attracted to me and now my hands and legs looked like I just had chicken pox T.T

After our camping challenge, we had to complete two game challenges. Completing the two before our little camping trip wasn't too bad but doing it after camping under the freaking hot sun when we were all hungry, tired and sleepy, not a good idea =/

Reason being..

I almost fainted after completing one. I had to skip the other challenge.

Now, who said this is fun?

PIPE 53 - Day 7 and Day 8

Skipped our free dinner and went for Sushi King instead.

Me, after dinner, looking tired.

Edwin's birthday at 11:30 pm. Many went, despite us having to get up at 6 the next morning for community service.

That's how his birthday cake looked like after Kok pushed Edwin's head onto the cake hahaha! Slept late that night because I followed a friend out to take photos around PERMATA. Sleeeeepy!

We left for Sekolah Menengah Seksyen 5 Wangsa Maju today at 7:45 am. Reached back here at 5 pm. I'm seriously dead tired now after all the mural painting, gardening, refurnishing the library and playing with special kids.

Pictures up will be up later, or in Facebook.

PIPE 53 - The End of Week 1

Just some highlights. No energy left to blog because I'm so worn out from the classes and activities.

A game we played where 8 leaders stood on the green pads and lead two chains of blindfolded people, each holding the rope, to form two squares, as shown below.

I was one of the 8 to guide the blinds. UTPians, the dude seated far right is Edwin Cheng, btw.

And, a nice surprise for me yesterday night.

This marks the end of week 1. Community service coming up next!

PIPE 53 - Day 3 and Day 4 [UPDATE]

Day 3:

Night classes cancelled so BW came over from Malacca, prime objective was to take pictures of buildings and bridges architecture.

Shy to upload photos from my lousy camera here (except one which I think it's fairly okay) and no photos from the DSLR yet.

Not bad right? Just don't zoom in to see all the noise, please. Hehe.

More photos up when I get pics from the DSLR.

Below are some photos from DSLR. More in Facebook.

By the lake

The first bridge we went

This was taken at the second bridge

Ministry of Finance. Breathtakingly amazing

Here comes the vain part of me. I think the two photos taken at the Manhattan Fish Market, Alamanda really nice so.. ;)

I got bad skin so kindly do not zoom in.

Day 4:

There's this really fun activity we had - To build PETRONAS Twin Tower out of cute little magnet LEGO-ish toy. There were two groups, so each had to build one tower and half of the sky bridge and later combine them.

In progress

Quite fun, although my group's tower collapsed at the very last minute BEFORE JUDGING due to a natural disaster - "table quake"

PIPE 53 - Day 2 and Day 3

How can one expects others to understand and speak the nation's language in a short time when they are internationals?

It's like those who know nuts about Mandarin, myself included, being forced to understand the language in a short period of time IF we're sent to China on a business trip or something.

PIPE 53 - Day 0 and Day 1

Dressed in a casual blouse and a pair of jeans, I made a grand entrance to PERMATA only to find everyone dressed in office attire. Registration day only what, don't need to be so formal kot..

Or so, I thought.

After kena tegur by one HR lady, I changed into my uncomfortable office wear. Just to get myself registered =/

That was Day 0 of my induction - Registration day. Not complaining cause I was paid for that.

Nothing much on that day so after some basic hands-on on the e-learning, off we went to Alamanda, Putrajaya. Predictable, huh. Watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 (despite being a huge fan, it's not that great) and got lost on our way back.

I started my Day 1 feeling all tired and sleepy due to lack of rest. We had HR and talent sourcing briefings, photo session, some fun and games, role play (I was one of the selected 4, to be the Ms. Nice Lady) and lots and lots and seriously lots of food - food's served 6 times a day I'm serious.

And I drew a conclusion.

I think I'm gonna be fat by the end of this induction programme =/

The 12 Highlights (and Lowlights) of 2009

1. Worn a saree for the very first time. Sexy and elegant, yet dangerous. And risky. You will never know when the knot/safety pin on the skirt will fail on you.

2. Attended my first social event. Met lotsa famous bloggers, hugged Kenny Sia and got completely star-struck.

3. Final Year Project. FYP. Done. Finally.

4. Joined Estee Lauder Model Search 2009. Failed to make the cut T_T

5. Graduation trip to amazing Bali.

When H1N1 was on the rise

My first time in a bikini. Felt a lil awkward at first

My first two (really cute) temporary tattoos which looked very real many got fooled.

And I learnt how to surf. Not. That was my first time holding the surfboard

If any of you notice, I had extra help balancing the surfboard, or it would definitely fall on me. Damn heavy ok.

See the little feet peeking out from the bottom? =P

6. Landed on my first job with iCIMB.

7. Convocation – It’s official! I have a scroll!

8. Educational trips and visits around KL. I'm no nerd. It was by peer influence. Hehe.

At Zoo Negara

Me frowning. At Aquaria. I grew to like this pic. Kinda.

My favourite sea creature - The clown fish

VSMU Convocation at Equatorial Hotel

Ampang Lookout Point

9. My first trip to Malacca since I was at most 9 years old.

Melissa, SNien & I at Malacca's famous chicken rice ball

10. Got an extra piercing (upper right ear) just because 2012 was sold out and we had nothing else to do in Mid Valley. Very random kan?

Don't want to gross you out so no photos.

11. Duty calls, so I resigned.

A sweet goodbye note + chocolate from Melissa

12. To celebrate Christmas together - Our tradition since 2006.

The first time I got a kite up high.

This marks the end of 2009. Say hellohh to 2010!

Oh, and before I forget, my 2010's resolution - to be a good girl gone bad :D

Nah just joking. Hello, 2010!!
