Our Redang Trip :)

Ask any of my friends and they will tell you I was ALWAYS spotted with an umbrella. I hated the sun very much, yes.

Primary reason: I would get so tanned and I hated being tanned. I always thought fair girls were prettier. And I'm not like some lucky people who would just turn lobster red temporarily. My tanned complexion stayed for months T_T

But my preferences changed after my memorable Bali (graduation) trip in July 2009. I realized I loved the sun and the beach and the sea and the sand and everything else. It was from that point of time I just didn't really bother about my skin colour anymore.

Hence, a day trip to Sepang Gold Coast.

And recently, to Redang Island :)

We signed up for a snorkelling package each at Redang Pelangi Resort (click the link for snorkelling, etc etc packages and offers) and stayed 2 nights at a simple, basic room.

At the corridor outside our room.

Basically, our package includes:

4 meals daily
3 snorkelling trips, at different spots of course
Transportation (round trip bus ride to jetty, round trip boat ride to Redang Island and round trip to all 3 snorkelling spots)

Rental of snorkelling equipment for both was RM 50 (one-off) while water-proof camera for 150 shots was at RM 50/day.

DAY 1

We had one snorkelling trip, which was after lunch. We didn't rent the water-proof camera since it was just half day.

At the jetty.

During tea break after our snorkelling session, all tired and hungry.

After tea break. We went strolling the beach (and more snorkelling) and enjoyed the sunset view.

Night beach walk :) My right toe was bruised cause I accidentally kicked my table, twice -_-"

DAY 2

Stupid weather made me worried. It rained pretty heavily at like .. early in the morning when the sky was still dark I thought our snorkelling trip was doomed for sure. Plus, I really looked forward to today's trip because I get to use the water-proof camera!!

Excited cause I wanted to capture pictures of Nemo fish :D

Well, guess what. I woke up to a bright, sunny morning yay! Lucky! Aaron said it was "God's blessing" instead.

Anyway, first shot at the jetty at Marine Park.

This was where we spotted a baby shark aka baby jaws!! Too bad no pics cause it swam away too fast ady :(

On the boat before jumping into the sea at our next snorkelling spot. We had lots of underwater shot at this location, thanks to one kind diver who helped us take some really cool shots of us underwater as well as sea creatures!

Dived deep down to have a closer look.

Fish circling around me. I really love this shot :)

A good shot of Aaron swimming deeper into the sea.

A shot of me .. falling asleep in the sea -_-" The fish looked as though it was stuck to my hand.

A picture together in the water ~

MY NEMO FISH!! So cute can die!

One of my successful jumping shots.

With Germans Frank and Flo after our last snorkeling trip.

The kind diver who helped us. Arigato ~ ~

Us on the hammock. We (actually just me) got so addicted to it.

Our beach stroll that day was cut short because I wanted to stay on the hammock lol.

DAY 3

We didn't do much that day. Checked out after breakfast and took a pic with a cute Indon couple. Both were from Medan so their Hokkien was really fluent. Quite similar to Penang hokkien.

Everything went really well (I was exceptionally thankful for the superb sunny weather) except for the lousy 7-hour bus ride (I hardly slept).

I wanna do this again!! :)

I just realized most of the pics above I had my shades on. Nah, a few more of me without shades :)

This one he looked so damn ganas.

Eivissa Bar Paradiso, TTDI Plaza

Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers were once again invited for a food tasting session, and this time it was hosted by Eivissa Bar Paradiso.

I realized I was quite lucky to be a part of this. So much good food my, my! How to achieve a hot body like this T.T

The whole concept of Eivissa is somewhat interesting - a chill out spot with IBIZA (an island in the off the coast of Spain, well known for it's summer club parties) style atmosphere and sunset vibe where I believe their tagline is "Everyday is summer at Eivissa" woot ~

There were five of us. Tim, the group's manager.

Andy, the group's photographer.

Michelle, the youngest member of MHB.

Sarah, the talented songbird. She sings really well. I sound like a frog whenever she's around -_-"

and .. myself. Period.

Andy and I

Beer was the first thing to be served. Their happy hour offer is as below:
RM 34.80 nett for a Carlsberg Jug; and
RM 24.80 nett for a Hoegaarden Pint.

I didn't have any though. Was nursing a bad throat so I had mixed fruit juice instead. Boring? :)

Eivissa does not normally serve food, only BBQ on weekends, eve of public holidays and probably during EPL games. Public can request to hold a BBQ party though. Reservation's needed of course :)

As for this food tasting, Zoltan (from Hungary), the owner of Eivissa, BambooNINE and also HQnine, specially prepared some of his specialty for us.

First up. Homemade beef sausages grilled to perfection, topped with mustard sauce and served with baguettes (RM 10.80). YUM!

I don't normally take mustard cause it SUCKS but I must say, the sausages goes really well with mustard. I kept scraping my sausage bite on the plate for more mustard sauce lol.

We also had chicken sausages topped with mustard and served with baguettes (RM 9.80). I kinda liked it because it was so damn huge and fat. The sausages I mean :)

But unlike the beef sausages which had bits and tiny chunks of beef in it, this chicken one tastes pretty normal.

Next up. Rib eye steak with some homemade special sauce and cabbage (RM 20.90)

The special sauce, which Zoltan refused to share the secret to it, complimented the steak pretty well. I find the cabbage somewhat interesting. It's kind of salty and tasted like preserved vege but it's not =/ Quite addictive.

Last but not least, and also the crowd's favourite - Prime cutlets served with mushroom sauce and 7-corn bread toasted with extra virgin olive oil (RM 18.80).

I loved this mainly because of the sauce and pieces of mushroom. Andy obviously loved the mushrooms too since he kept picking out the mushrooms lol.

We had a good time there, thanks to everything - the service, food, drinks and a very entertaining chat session with Zoltan after meal. The picture below says it all :)

That's Tim and Sarah. They looked so cute wahaha :D

Group shot. Sarah, Tim, Michelle, Zoltan and myself. Andy was behind the camera.

Many thanks to Eivissa for hosting us. For reservations, kindly email Zoltan at g@barworks.com.my or drop a mesage or something at their FB fanpage. Click here for the map to Eivissa Bar Paradiso.

Fun Facts

Random fun facts about me (just to revive my dying blog)

Actually I have THREE food reviews to do but I'll push it to tomorrow. Procrastinate now, panic later LOL aih. Work today took a toll on me (Stupid pipeline leak gave me so much trouble) so I'm gonna use what's left of me to .. babble -_-

1. I used to dislike shopping till I started working in KLCC. Since then, my account has been in a pretty pitiful state.

2. I was nicknamed blur queen in both high school and university. I have no idea why.

3. My first serious ambition was to be an air-stewardess for the dumbest reason ever - Because I love to travel. Parents disallowed. I still wonder from time to time what it is like to be one though.

4. But now I'm a boring person who aspires to grow old lecturing university kids.

5. Judge all you want but I never really think I'm attractive. To me, a must have for a girl to be attractive is flawless fair complexion and of course, a slim figure. I lack the former :(

6. And in order to be attractive in my books, I used to hate the sun so much I never left my hostel room without my well-known bright pink and orange umbrellas. Now I love going to the beach I don't care anymore ~

7. My PR skills sucks to the max. I need lessons.

8. I love Subway sandwiches. I have them like 2-3 times a week on average and can never get bored of them.

9. I had trouble listing fun facts about myself I had to go through my gtalk chats to actually dig one or two.

10. I'm so worn out my mind's on the verge of shutting down I think I'll stop right here.

Ok time to shower. And sleep. I'm so grateful tomorrow's a holiday.
