I was at the premier of Datin Seri Tiara Jacqualina's latest hit play called The Secret Life of Nora at Istana Budaya. Alex and I collected our media passes at the venue itself, courtesy of Advertlets.com.
Datin Seri Tiara Jacqualina's kind of hot btw :D
Honestly? I was never a fan of local music productions but I've got to say, The Secret Life of Nora (and also Nasi Lemak 2.0) completely changed my perception on our local talents in music and art.
The Secret Life of Nora, Malaysia's first bilingual musical comedy set in the glamorous 1960s, tells a story about Nora (played by Datin Seri Tiara Jacqualina), who becomes a spy by accident to help uncover a mysterious evil plot, mastermind by a masked villain who holds a secret from her past. She falls in love with a dashingly handsome Roger (played by Ryan Silverman), a British agent-trainer who helps Nora in becoming an undercover spy she has never intended to be.
The plot was surprisingly enjoyable with hints of unforgettable humour every now and then. Music was catchy and addictive (which then makes it memorable) and well-performed by powerful vocalists Datin Seri Tiara Jacqualina. Roles by Datin, Ryan Silverman and especially Adibah Noor were unforgettable!
The Secret Life of Nora runs from 29 September all the way till 16 October at the Istana Budaya. I know you have your doubts but seriously, this is beyond my expectations. Give it a shot, grab the tickets at airasiaredtix and enjoy the musical with an open mind. Tickets are priced from RM 30 onwards.
The Secret Life of Nora is produced by Enfiniti Vision Media, the critically-acclaimed company that produced the award-winning Puteri Gunung Ledang the Musical and P. Ramlee the Musical.
